The Assistant Commissioner (General), Jammu, Rakesh Dubey on Tuesday reviewed arrangements for Maha Shivratri Festival at Peerkho here.Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma also participated in the meeting and gave on the spot directions to different departments.Chairing the meeting, the ACG Jammu discussed all necessary arrangements required and issued on the spot directions to the officials of various departments.The arrangements for Security, Traffic regulation were discussed,, while PHE, PDD, Municipality, Chief Medical Officer, PWD, Floriculture, Fire Services, Tourism Department departments  were asked to ensure their services.A joint visit was also conducted with the Deputy Mayor, Jammu and other concerned officers at the places of venue.The official issued directions to ensure barricading, stoppage the leakage of water, uninterrupted power supply/water supply, Joint Naka by Police and Volunteers of the management of the Temple for the hassle free movement of the pilgrims.

It was also decided in the meeting that that two mobile toilet vans, one fire tender and an ambulance with Medical Staff shall be stationed and also a list of all the volunteers engaged for the purpose shall be provided to the security incharge.Traffic Department was also directed to clear parked vehicles right from Deputy Commissioner's office to the place of the venue.The JMC, PWD, PHE, PDD and other concerned departments were directed to ensure all necessary arrangements in designated routes before the start of the Shoba Yatra which will start from Ranbhireshwar Temple on March, 10, 2021.The management committee of the temple urged the visiting officer that cultural wing of the Directorate of Information should also participate in the event with cultural items and the same was assured by the ACG Jammu. Mahant Rajinder Nath; Anil Chandail, Deputy Director Tourism; G.L Pandita, Deputy Director Fire and Emergency Services; Vikrant Kumar Sharma, Floriculture Officer; Insp Aizaz Haider SHO, Peermitha; Dr. Abhimanyu, Medical Officer; Sanjeev Mohan Executive Engineer, PDD and representatives of Traffic/Security/PHE/PDD etc were also present at the meeting.
