MLA Jammu East constituency Yudhvir Sethi, accompanied by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav, on Friday visited Rajinder Nagar, Mishri Mohalla and Goyal Lane in Ward No. 19 to inspect ongoing civic works, particularly the construction and improvement of Nallahs, besides reviewing the overall civic infrastructure in the area.
During the visit, the MLA and the JMC Commissioner interacted with local residents, who apprised them of various issues concerning drainage, sanitation, road maintenance and other basic civic amenities. The residents also highlighted the need for the timely completion of Nallah works to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season.
Inspecting the ongoing works, Yudhvir Sethi stressed the importance of quality infrastructure and directed the concerned officials to ensure that all developmental projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on quality. Speaking on the occasion, Sethi said, "Our priority is to provide better civic infrastructure and ensure that every public issue is addressed promptly.
The ongoing nallah works in Rajinder Nagar, Mishri Mohalla and Goyal Lane are vital for improving drainage and preventing waterlogging. We are committed to ensuring that the people of Jammu East receive all essential civic amenities in a timely and efficient manner."
JMC Commissioner Dr Devansh Yadav assured the residents that the issues raised during the inspection would be addressed on priority. He instructed officials to closely monitor the progress of the works and maintain high construction standards.
The visit is part of the ongoing efforts by the Jammu East MLA and the Jammu Municipal Corporation to strengthen civic infrastructure, improve sanitation, enhance drainage facilities and ensure better living conditions for residents across the constituency. The local residents appreciated the visit and expressed hope that the issues highlighted would be resolved at the earliest.
