IIHMR University, Jaipur, India's leading healthcare management university, celebrated its Convocation Ceremony 2026 by conferring degrees upon 506 postgraduate and doctoral graduates, marking another significant milestone in strengthening the nation's healthcare leadership workforce.

The graduating class witnessed an impressive 57% women graduates, reaffirming the growing participation of women in healthcare management, public health, pharmaceutical management, analytics, and health systems leadership. The ceremony reflected the changing face of India's healthcare sector, where women are increasingly emerging as professionals, managers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policy leaders.

For the second consecutive year, women outnumbered men in the graduating cohort, highlighting an encouraging transformation in healthcare management education. The Convocation was graced by Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Managing Director & Founder CEO, Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony was presided over by Shri Sudarshan Jain in the distinguished presence of Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Founder Trustee, IIHMR, Dr. S. D. Gupta, President, IIHMR, Dr. P. R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, members of the Board of Management, Academic Council, faculty, alumni, parents, and distinguished guests.

The graduating cohort registered nearly 20 per cent growth, rising from 423 graduates in 2025 to 506 in 2026, reflecting the rising national demand for professionally trained healthcare managers and public health leaders as India's healthcare ecosystem expands rapidly.

Presenting the University's Annual Report, Dr. P. R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, highlighted that, "I am delighted to share that this graduating batch has achieved an outstanding placement record. These accomplishments reflect the confidence that employers place in the competence, professionalism, and leadership potential of IIHMR graduates."

He further urged them to become ethical leaders committed to public service. Delivering the Convocation Address, Dr. Jitendra Sharma inspired graduates to become innovators and change-makers in healthcare. He said, "Healthcare offers limitless opportunities for those who can identify real problems and develop meaningful solutions.

As you begin your professional journey, do not merely pursue promotions or salary increments. Pursue a purpose. The purpose of life is to live life with a purpose. As Captain Vikram Batra famously said, 'Yeh Dil Maange More.' Aspire for greater responsibility, greater service, and greater impact.

That is the pathway to leadership." Recognising exceptional academic achievement, the University conferred the prestigious Shri V. P.
