MLA Jammu East Yudhvir Sethi on Thursday held a public darbar at Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Kacchi Chawni, where he interacted with residents from different localities of the constituency and listened to their grievances related to civic amenities, infrastructure and public services.
A large number of people attended the public outreach programme and projected issues concerning road repairs, sanitation, drainage, water supply, electricity, healthcare, education and other developmental works. Residents also submitted individual representations seeking intervention in various public welfare matters.
After hearing the grievances, Sethi assured the people that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority and resolved in a time-bound manner. He directed officials present on the occasion to immediately address matters requiring urgent attention and ensure effective coordination for the speedy disposal of public complaints.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said, "The public darbar is an important platform to directly connect with the people and understand their concerns. My priority is to ensure that every genuine grievance is addressed promptly and transparently. The welfare of the people and the development of Jammu East remain my foremost commitment."
He further said, "BJP is committed to strengthening public infrastructure and improving civic amenities. Every section of society should benefit from development, and I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure better roads, sanitation, healthcare, education and other essential services for the residents of Jammu East."
The MLA reiterated that regular interaction with the public helps in identifying ground-level issues and enables effective implementation of development projects. He appealed to residents to continue participating in such public outreach programmes and assured them that their suggestions would be given due consideration.
Several deputations and individuals appreciated the initiative of organising the public darbar, stating that it provided them with an opportunity to directly present their grievances before the MLA. They expressed confidence that the issues raised during the programme would receive prompt attention from the concerned authorities.
