A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Health Camp under TB MUKT BHARAT initiative was inaugurated by Dr. Suman Singh, Director Health Services (DHS), Chandigarh Administration cum MD- National Health Mission (NHM) at the Golf Range, Chandigarh. The health camp was organized specifically for the staff and caddies of the Golf Range with the objective of early detection and prevention of Tuberculosis and major non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.

As part of the TB screening initiative, on-the-spot screening was conducted using a hand-held AI enabled X-ray machine, along with sputum testing through the CBNAAT machine. During the camp, a total of 55 X-rays were performed and 08 NAAT (CBNAAT) tests were conducted to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis of TB.

In addition, all staff members were screened for hypertension and diabetes, reinforcing the importance of early identification and management of non-communicable diseases. Dr. Suman Singh emphasized the significance of regular health screening camps and highlighted the Chandigarh Administration’s commitment towards strengthening preventive healthcare services and achieving TB elimination goals, along with controlling NCDs through early detection and awareness.

The camp witnessed active participation and was appreciated by the beneficiaries for bringing essential healthcare services directly to their workplace.
