Under the "Har Shukarwar, Dengue te vaar " campaign, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain and Senior Deputy Mayor Mr. Rajinder Prasad Sharma inspected house-to-house anti-dengue activities in Phase-6, Mohali. They checked possible mosquito breeding sites and urged residents to follow preventive measures.

Residents found with dengue larvae were warned to remove breeding sources immediately, failing which strict action will be taken in future inspections. Dr. Sangeeta Jain appealed to people to prevent water stagnation and cooperate in making the district dengue-free.

She also informed residents about dengue symptoms, prevention and free treatment at government health facilities. Mr. Rajinder Prasad Sharma praised the Health Department’s efforts and advised residents to clean water containers weekly and change cooler water daily.

Health teams also carried out container surveys across the district with the help of nursing students, Village Health Sanitation Committees and Residents' Welfare Associations. Residents were told that the Aedes aegypti mosquito breeds in clean stagnant water and bites during the day.

For dengue-related information, people may call helpline 104. District Epidemiologist Dr. Anamika Soni and other officials were present.
