The district administration is committed to ensuring comprehensive arrangements for the upcoming Shobha Yatra on February 11, to mark the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji. This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal, also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Amarjit Bains and Rohit Gupta, CM Field Officer Kritika Goyal, and representatives from various organizations. 

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the Shobha Yatra is a significant event, promotes the messages of divinity, communal harmony, peace, universal brotherhood, and compassion, as advocated by Sri Guru Ravidass Ji through his philosophy, life, and teachings.  The Deputy Commissioner further stated that necessary arrangements will be made for traffic diversion, vehicle parking, security, and other facilities during the Shobha Yatra to ensure the smooth participation of people. 

He instructed the Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness along the route, which will begin at Sri Guru Ravidass Temple in Basti Jodhewal and proceed to Sunder Nagar, Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk, Madhopuri, Police Division-3, Shahpur Road, Jagraon Bridge, Clock Tower Chowk, Chaura Bazar, and Gaushala Road. The Municipal Corporation will also sprinkle water on the roads and provide temporary urinals and mobile toilets for the participants. 

Jorwal also directed that the Health Department deploy medical teams, ensuring they are equipped with necessary medicines and ambulances to assist attendees. Additionally, he also ordered the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to implement measures for providing uninterrupted power supply during the event.
