Akali Dal 'Waris Punjab De' received a major boost as the Bains brothers, along with their supporters, joined the party during a function held at Dhand Palace on Daba Road in the Atam Nagar Assembly constituency. Party Working President Bapu Tarsem Singh Khalsa, senior leader and MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali, along with the entire senior leadership, warmly welcomed Tarlochan Singh Bains, Sukhwinder Singh Bains, Mandeep Singh Bains and their supporters into the party.
Addressing the gathering, Bapu Tarsem Singh Khalsa, father of Member of Parliament Bhai Amritpal Singh Khalsa and Working President of the party, said that the party's caravan is expanding with each passing day. He said people frequently stop them on the way to express their support for the party's policies and also inquire about the return of Bhai Amritpal Singh Khalsa.
He remarked that Akali Dal 'Waris Punjab De' has now grown into a mass movement. Referring to recent developments, he said that after Sardar Darshan Singh Shivalik and his supporters joined the party from the Gill Assembly constituency a few days ago, today's large-scale joining from the Atam Nagar constituency is another clear indication of the party's growing popularity.
Senior leader and MLA S. Manpreet Singh Ayali said that Akali Dal 'Waris Punjab De' is the only regional party that enjoys the trust of the people of Punjab. He said a large number of people are joining the party every day.
He further stated that leaders and workers committed to the interests of the Panth and Punjab are always welcome to become part of the party. He expressed confidence that many more people would join the party in the coming days.
Amarjeet Singh Vinchri Panch Pradhani urged people to rise above the barriers of caste and religion and unite with Akali Dal 'Waris Punjab De'. Bhai Harbhajan Singh Tod Panch Pradhani said that the youth should support Bhai Amritpal Singh in order to safeguard their future and protect Punjab.
Party Chief Spokesperson S. Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala cautioned people against what he described as the false propaganda of political opponents. He said Punjab needs progress and prosperity, which, according to him, can only be delivered by a Panthic government led by Akali Dal 'Waris Punjab De'. Party Coordinator Parmjeet Singh Johal said that people and youth across Punjab are increasingly extending their support to Bhai Amritpal Singh.
