Handicrafts and Handloom department today organised a day long Awareness cum Exhibition camp at Dawar, Gurez. The Camp was inaugurated by Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer Gurez. Senior craft instructors, Mushtaq Ahmad, Showkat Ahmad, Sarpanchs, ward members besides large number of artisans attended the camp.

On the occasion AHTO Gurez said the objective of organising the camp was to make artisans aware of the various welfare programs and schemes of the department and to provide guidance support for the registration of artisans to avail benefits under the various schemes of the department. 

He appealed the artisan fraternity to come forward and get themselves registered with the department so that benefits are availed by them without any difficulty and they are helped to stand on their own.On the occasion 60 artisans registration cards were distributed among the artisans.
