Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today reviewed the arrangements for pilgrims undertaking Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 at Yatra camp Chanderkote in Ramban and different Lodgement centres in Udhampur.Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa and Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan accompanied the Divisional Commissioner during the visit.

At Ramban, Divisional Commissioner conducted a thorough tour at the Chanderkote Yatra Camp. He inspected various facilities and services being provided to the pilgrims during their stay at the camp including food, sanitation, drinking water supply, power supply, medical facilities and security arrangements.  He also reviewed food safety measures at the langar sites.

The Div Com directed the concerned officers for providing the best quality of services to all the Yatris.Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the comprehensive arrangements put in place for the convenience, safety, and welfare of pilgrims undertaking the annual holy pilgrimage.

At Udhampur, the Divisional Commissioner visited various lodgement centres and Langar sites established along the National Highway to review the facilities and essential services being provided to the pilgrims.The Div Com assessed the accommodation facilities and other basic amenities being extended to the Yatris while inspecting sanitation, drinking water, electricity, healthcare, security and overall cleanliness to ensure the comfort, safety and well-being of the pilgrims.

He also interacted with the Yatris to obtain first-hand feedback on the services being provided. The pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the District Administration and appreciated the well-maintained lodgement centres, efficient civic services and the warm hospitality extended to them during their stay.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the District Administrations to ensure the uninterrupted availability of all essential services at the lodgement centres and langer sites throughout the Yatra period. He emphasized the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness, prompt service delivery and effective coordination among all stakeholder departments to facilitate a safe, smooth and hassle-free pilgrimage.

Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak, Project Director, NHAI, Shubham Yadav and officers from the District Administrations, Police and other stakeholder departments.
