“Access to a great IVF lab can greatly raise your chances of success in your fertility treatment,” Says Dr Pooja Mehta, Head Of Department, Fortis Bloom IVF centre, Mohali. With the development of new techniques and procedures to treat infertility the perceptions and concerns of medical fraternity as well as public has also evolved.“There could be plenty of reasons behind the failure of in vitro fertilization.

One of the most overlooked and yet crucial aspect of failure of IVF is the quality of ART Labs. In IVF ,after undergoing the egg retrieval procedure the focus of cycle moves to the fertility lab, this is where the IVF part of your treatment actually happens because an enormous roll in fertility treatment as any other aspect of a potential clinic is an often invisible factor which deeply affects treatment and it can make or break the success of cycle.” Dr. Gursimran Kaur from Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana added.

While stressing on the importance of sexual and reproductive health for all and explaining the role of IVF, Dr. Shivani Garg, from Fortis Hospital Ludhiana, added, “ IVF is the process  of forming new life and that's why it has a limited success rate which varies from 40 to 50% in less than 35 years of age. lab conditions have to be good for embryo formation and things like good incubator, Laminar flow, and good culture media are required in lab.”

Everything that comes in contact with oocytes, sperms and embryos has the potential to impact upon them so the quality of every product and material must be meticulously controlled to ensure excellence and consistency is assured.

Dr Pooja Mehta, of Bloom IVF, said, “In women severe Polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) and blocked fallopian tubes are the two leading causes of infertility where as low sperm count contributed to the most number of male infertility cases.”

She added that detailed history of patient including the injections given in previous IVF cycle, how many eggs were formed , what was the grading of embryo and other details are required for conducting successful IVF.

Infertility problems are treated by the expert doctors at our centre and if your earlier IVF experience had failed, you must go in detail and select a Fortis Bloom IVF Centre for better results . we have deployed the best in class close working Chambers, electronic witnessing,  microfluidics,  advance incubators ,lab care alarm systems that have helped couple conceive in the least possible number of cycles” said Dr Mehta.
