Marking the fifth day of the Integrated Health Screening Campaign, the Health Department, U.T. Chandigarh organised an Integrated Health Screening Camp at Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandir (UAAM), Sector 52. The camp was organised to bring comprehensive health screening and diagnostic services closer to the community, enabling early detection of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
The camp offered free screening for Tuberculosis (TB), HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, diabetes, hypertension and other priority health conditions. A dedicated NTEP Mobile Diagnostic Van was stationed at the venue, providing chest X-ray facilities, CBNAAT testing, counselling and awareness on TB prevention and treatment.
Mobile ICTC services were also made available, where beneficiaries underwent HIV, VDRL, HBsAg and HCV screening along with pre-test and post-test counselling. Medical teams also conducted health education sessions on the importance of regular health check-ups, balanced nutrition, physical activity, early diagnosis and timely treatment.
Beneficiaries were informed about various Government health programmes and the free diagnostic and treatment facilities available at Government health institutions. Under the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Programme, 100 individuals were screened.
