Water Level In Bhakra Dam 81.73 Feet Higher Than Last Year

The water level in the Bhakra Dam today recorded at a level of 1619.02 feet against 1537.29 feet last year on the same day. Water level is 81.73 feet more than as it was last year on the same day.

Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the irrigation department said that the water level of pong Dam has been recorded at 1327.48 feet which is 38.24 feet more than it was recorded last year that is 1289. 24 feet. Similarly the water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam on 4 July, 2013 touched 512.56 meter mark which is 13.23  meter more than the water level recorded last year on the same day that is 499.33.

He further said that the inflow of water in Bhakra is 52895 cusec against 38661 last year and the release from Bhakra Dam is 34379 cusec against 29458 cusec last year. Inflow of water in pong Dam has been recorded as12599 cusec against 8947 cusec and release from pong dam is 8507 against 15907 on the same day last year whereas inflow of water in Ranjit Sagar Dam is 11396 cusec against 10994 cusec and release from Ranjit Sagar Dam is 14871 cusec against 11150 cusec release on the same day last year.
