Water Level In Bhakra Dam 81.69 Feet Higher Than Last Year

The water level in the Bhakra Dam today recorded at a level of 1617.72feet against 1536.03feet last year on the same day. Water level is 81.69feet more than as it was last year on the same day.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the irrigation department said that the water level of pong Dam has been recorded at 1327.26feet which is 37.41feet more than it was recorded last year that is 1289.85feet. Similarly the water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam on 3 July, 2013 touched 512.73meter mark which is 13.36meter more than the water level recorded last year on the same day that is 499.37.He further said that the inflow of water in Bhakra is 55830 cusec against 35728 last year and the release from Bhakra Dam is 34750 cusec against 29666cusec last year. Inflow of water in pong Dam has been recorded as13031cusec against 5302 cusec and release from pong dam is 8009 against 15311 on the same day last year whereas inflow of water in Ranjit Sagar Dam is 11396 cusec against 11141 cusec and release from Ranjit Sagar Dam is 14347 cusec against 10817 cusec release on the same day last year.
