The water level in the Bhakra Dam today recorded at a level of 1626.14 feet against 1543.09 feet last year on the same day. Water level is 83.05 feet more than as it was last year on the same day.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the irrigation department said that the water level of pong Dam has been recorded at 1335.47 feet which is 43.78 feet more than it was recorded last year that is 1291.69 feet. Similarly the water level of Ranjit Sagar Dam on 8 July, 2013 touched 512.00meter mark which is 12.17 meter more than the water level recorded last year on the same day that is 499.83.He further said that the inflow of water in Bhakra is 73312 cusec against 42739 last year and the release from Bhakra Dam is 36401 cusec against 29500 cusec last year. Inflow of water in pong Dam has been recorded as 108221 cusec against 22850 cusec and release from pong dam is 10001 against 14808 on the same day last year whereas inflow of water in Ranjit Sagar Dam is 12667 cusec against 11141 cusec and release from Ranjit Sagar Dam is 15417 cusec against 4815 cusec release on the same day last year.
