Water Level In Bhakra Dam 73.51 Feet Higher Than Last Year

The water level in the Bhakra Dam today recorded at a level of 1608.01 feet against 1534.50 feet last year on the same day. Water level is 73.51 feet more than as it was last year on the same day.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the irrigation department said that the water level of pong Dam has been recorded at 1325.72 feet which is 31.45 feet more than it was recorded last year that is 1294.27 feet. Similarly the water level ofRanjit Sagar Dam on 27 June, 2013 touched 513.36 meter mark which is 13.77 meter more than the water level recorded last year on the same day that is 499.59.

He further said that the inflow of water in Bhakra is 73732 cusec against 31285 last year and the release from Bhakra Dam is 32710 cusec against 29459 cusec last year. Inflow of water in pong Dam has been recorded as 34093 cusec against 4636 cusec on the same day last year and inflow of water in Ranjit Sagar Dam is 15818 cusec against 9572 cusec and release from Ranjit Sagar Dam is 14071 cusec against 8521 cusec release on the same day last year.
