Ensuring speedy police action in various complaints, giving a tough fight against drugs and removing traffic problems will be my priority in district.SSP Mrs Alka Meena said while interacting with media persons during her maiden press conference today. Enlisting her emphasis on public friendly policing she said that directions have been given to Barnala police to ensure that cases pertaining to women and elderly at Police stations are resolved on first basis.Replying to media query, she said that the doors of police were open for public all the time. SSP will remain available at her office for public dealing from 11 am to 2 pm on all working days.Mrs Meena, an IPS officer from 2010 batch, was earlier posted as AIG intelligence. She has also worked as SSP Kapurthala, SBS Nagar and Fatehgarh Sahib.
