Ankur Kumar, a Booth Level Officer (BLO) from Assembly Constituency 102-Bhadaur has become the first BLO in Punjab to achieve 100% collection and digitization of Enumeration Forms under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. In recognition of his outstanding performance, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Harpreet Singh IAS presented Ankur Kumar with an Appreciation Certificate issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab.

Congratulating him, the Deputy Commissioner said Ankur's achievement reflects the commitment and professionalism of the district's election machinery and serves as an inspiration for BLOs across the state. Serving at Booth No. 94 in Tapa, Ankur Kumar successfully completed the collection and digitization of all Enumeration Forms assigned to his booth, making him the leading performer in Punjab under the SIR campaign.

A Computer Teacher at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Tapa, Ankur Kumar has been serving as a Booth Level Officer for the past seven to eight years. Responsible for 731 electors at Booth No. 94, he has developed a systematic approach that enables him to stay ahead in every electoral exercise.

His preparations began well before the Special Intensive Revision. During the Election Commission of India's Aadhaar seeding exercise, he meticulously prepared a database containing every voter's name, relative's name, house number, Aadhaar number, and mobile number. When the pre-SIR mapping exercise commenced, Booth No. 94 achieved 100% mapping.

Ankur downloaded the pre-SIR mapping data and compiled it into a comprehensive register containing each voter's EPIC number, name, relative's name, state, Assembly Constituency, Part Number, Serial Number, and other relevant details. Since he already had the mobile numbers of nearly every household, he created a dedicated WhatsApp group for the voters of Booth No. 94.

Through this platform, he regularly informed voters about the documents/photographs required for the Special Intensive Revision, ensuring the timely collection and digitization of all Enumeration Forms. Appreciating his efforts, SDM Tapa-cum-Electoral Registration Officer, Bhadaur, Ayush Goyal IAS said that Ankur Kumar's achievement demonstrates how effective planning, commitment, and proactive public engagement can deliver exceptional results.
