Mohali Municipal  Corporation Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi said that Punjab was number one in the field of education and health while the Aam Aadmi Party was making false statements just to  make its political bread. During Corona tenure, people have been coming to Punjab for treatment and Delhi also needs guidance from Punjab in the field of education. Bedi said  that this was possible only due to the far sightedness of the Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh that today Punjab was number one in both these areas. He said that due  to the personal interest and diligent efforts of Health Minister Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu, who is also MLA from Mohali constituency, Mohali city is on the path of progress in every  field. Not only this, while attacking the Akalis, Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi said that in their 10 years tenure in the field of education and health, the Akalis have not done a  single work due to which the situation in Punjab deteriorated. He said that the infrastructure of both the sectors of education has been strengthened only during the congress  government .

Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi said that Mohali was one of the cities in Punjab where tremendous work was being done in both education and health sectors. He  said that a medical college was being set up in Mohali with classes already started and a 300 bed hospital was also being set up here. He said that the Civil Hospital was going to  be shifted from here and a brand new ultra modern Civil Hospital would be set up to provide all the modern health facilities. In addition, the government dispensary of Phase 3B1  is being upgraded to a health center where a 35-bed hospital would be set up. Similarly new dispensaries are being set up in Sector 69, Sector 79, Aero City and Sector 66.He  said that in terms of education, Punjab was number one in the country in the field of education and people were preferring to enroll their children in government schools instead of  private schools. He said that at a cost of Rs.13 crore the Phase 11 school was being upgraded into a senior secondary school which would be a great help to the people of  Mohali. He said that Aam Aadmi Party needed to seek guidance from the Congress government of Punjab so that they could improve their education and health and do something  for Delhi instead of making false statements. He said that Akali Dal was responsible for the backwardness of Punjab in both these key sectors of health and education so the  leaders of Akali Dal should apologize to the people of Punjab.
