Former Health Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu inducted a large number of people from Jujhar Nagar and other nearby areas of Mohali, who had left various political parties, into the Indian National Congress. Welcoming the new members, Sidhu said that the Congress Party has always stood as the voice of the people and remains committed to politics centered on public welfare.

He assured them that every worker joining the party would be given due respect and that they would work together for the development of the region and the welfare of its people. Balbir Singh Sidhu stated that the people of Punjab have completely lost faith in the Aam Aadmi Party government.

He said that those who voted in the hope of "change" now feel betrayed due to the government's failures, unfulfilled promises, and anti-people policies. As a result, a large number of people are leaving the Aam Aadmi Party and joining the Congress every day.

He further said that the law-and-order situation in Punjab continues to deteriorate, development works have come to a standstill, youth are struggling with unemployment, and farmers, traders, and the common people are deeply disappointed with the government's policies.

Instead of addressing people's basic concerns, the government is focused solely on publicity campaigns and making false claims. Sidhu also said that development work in Mohali and its surrounding areas has virtually come to a halt. Poor road conditions, sewerage problems, inadequate sanitation, deteriorating healthcare services, and the lack of other basic civic amenities have made everyday life difficult for residents.

Despite repeated complaints from the public, he alleged that the Punjab government and the local administration remain indifferent. According to him, the government's attention is limited to advertisements and self-promotion, while no serious efforts are being made to resolve the people's problems or accelerate development on the ground.

He added that the Congress Party has a long-standing legacy of public service, development, and welfare-oriented governance. During its tenure, Congress governments took several landmark decisions and implemented major development initiatives in infrastructure, education, healthcare, industry, and farmers' welfare across Punjab.

He said that the growing number of people joining the Congress reflects the renewed confidence of the people of Punjab in the party. He asserted that the Congress alone has the vision and capability to lead Punjab back on the path of development, prosperity, and progress.

Among those present on the occasion were former Mohali Mayor S. Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu, S. Mukhtiar Singh (Jujhar Nagar), S. Kashmir Singh (Jujhar Nagar), S. Sarabjit Singh Bhalla (Jujhar Nagar), Panch Pulkit (Jujhar Nagar), Rama Shankar (Jujhar Nagar), Mohammad Afzal (Jujhar Nagar), Pawan Vij (Jujhar Nagar), Somin Mohammad (Jujhar Nagar), Jalauddin Ali (Jhampur), Lekh (Jhampur), Babu (Jujhar Nagar), Jatinder Singh Jatt (Jhampur), Jaggi Sidhu (Jujhar Nagar), Vinod Kumar (Jhampur), Alka Mishra (Jujhar Nagar), Surinder Kaur (Jujhar Nagar), Hashim (Jujhar Nagar), and several other prominent local leaders and residents
