Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ms. Komal Mittal today felicitated Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who have successfully completed 100 percent digitisation of Enumeration Forms collected from electors under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 at a function held at the District Administrative Complex, Mohali. Congratulating the BLOs, the Deputy Commissioner said that 42 polling booths in the district have achieved 100 percent digitisation of the Enumeration Forms collected from voters under the Special Intensive Revision.

She informed that the SIR exercise is being carried out at 838 polling booths across Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, and the completion of digitisation at these booths reflects the dedication and commitment of the Booth Level Officers. Appreciating the efforts of the BLOs, Ms. Komal Mittal cautioned them to remain prepared for resolving any anomalies flagged during the online verification process.

She emphasized that preparing a 100 percent accurate electoral roll is the foremost objective of the revision exercise and every discrepancy must be addressed promptly and meticulously. Sharing their experiences, Ms. Sanjana Garg, BLO of Booth No. 38 in Peer Muchhalla under the Derabassi Assembly Constituency, said that the pre-mapping exercise undertaken before the revision made the otherwise challenging task of collecting and digitising the Enumeration Forms much easier.

Similarly, Ms. Vaishali, BLO of Booth No. 162 in the SAS Nagar Assembly Constituency, said that pre-mapping helped the BLOs access previous voter details efficiently, making the exercise smoother and more accurate. The District Election Officer further informed that the Election Commission of India has revised the schedule of the Special Intensive Revision, extending the timeline to facilitate smooth completion of house-to-house verification, collection and digitisation of Enumeration Forms.

As per the revised programme, house-to-house visits by BLOs will continue till August 3, 2026, which will also be the date for rationalisation/re-arrangement of polling stations. The draft electoral roll will be published on August 13, 2026, followed by the period for filing claims and objections from August 13 to September 12, 2026.

The notice phase and disposal of claims and objections will continue till October 8, 2026, while the final publication of the electoral roll is scheduled for October 12, 2026. She urged the BLOs who are lagging behind due to one reason or another to make optimum use of the extended timeline and complete the revision work within the stipulated period.

The BLOs felicitated on the occasion included Salig Ram (Booth No. 108), Rupinder Kaur (Booth No. 109), Paramjit Kaur (Booth No. 6), Neeraj Semwal (Booth No. 107), Sukhdev Singh (Booth No. 58), Sukhvir Singh (Booth No. 57), Dipinderjit Kaur (Booth No. 90), Seema Chaudhary (Booth No. 225), Vaishali (Booth No. 162) and Gurbinder Singh (Booth No. 161) from SAS Nagar (Mohali) Assembly Constituency; Ashok Kumar (Booth No. 1), Gurpreet Singh (Booth No. 13), Kulvir Singh (Booth No. 78), Vijay Kumar (Booth No. 79), Maninder Pal Singh (Booth No. 105), Ravi Kumar (Booth No. 109), Baljinder Singh (Booth No. 146), Ajay Goyal (Booth No. 162), Gurpreet Singh (Booth No. 275), Harish Kapil (Booth No. 285) and Amrik Singh (Booth No. 286) from Kharar Assembly Constituency; and Kamaljeet Kaur (Booth No. 212), Jyoti (Booth No. 286), Dharminder Singh (Booth No. 267), Bandhna (Booth No. 282), Manjit Kaur (Booth No. 265), Harpreet Kaur (Booth No. 276) and Sanjana Garg (Booth No. 38) from Derabassi Assembly Constituency.
