The two-day district level multilingual Hussaini Mushaira organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Kargil concluded here today. The two-day literary event saw in attendance more than 50 senior as well as novice poets across the district representing Urdu, Balti, Purgi and Shina Dardi languages.In the concluding poetic session held today, around 25 poets rendered their poetic compositions while paying rich tributes to the Martyrs of Karbala and reflecting upon the philosophy of martyrdom.The function was presided over by the former Commissioner Secretary Revenue J&K and eminent writer and poet Kacho Asfandyar Khan Faridoon while as the poets who presented their poetic renderings included among others Mirza Mehdi Jaffary, Muhammad Taqi Khan Nayaab, Muhammad Yasin Ansari, Muhammad Ali Baba, Ghulam Qadir Zaki, Muhammad Ali Khumar, Muhammad Hussain Fayaz, Nasiruddin Khafee, Muhammad Raza Saaqi, Muhammad Asgar Aasi, Kacho Asfandyar Khan Faridoon, Akhone Muhammad Ali Subeor, Tsewang Rigzin, Muhammad Ali Ashour, Aga Syed Hadi Shah Aga, Akhone Safdar Ali Safdar and Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat.  In his presidential remarks, Kacho Asfandyar Khan Faridoon while congratulating the Academy for having organized the literary event said that gatherings of this sort are the ideal platform for the poets to share their fresh literary endeavours.Khan also highlighted the role of poets, writers and intellectuals in a society and said that the men of letters can play a great role in bringing out positive attitudes and enlightenment in people through their creativity.Cultural Expert Tsewang Rigzin welcomed the poets, guests and audience while as District Cultural Officer Kargil Muhammad Ali Tak delivered the vote of thanks.Among others, who were present on the occasion included poets, writers, district officers, students from different schools and a jam packed hall of literary enthusiasts.
