Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL) in collaboration with Department of Urdu, Jammu University organised a "A Musical Evening" at Gian Chand Jain Hall here today.Various eminent singers like Kabul Bukhari, Sayed Tariq Pardesi, Massarat Naaz enthralled the audience by their performances.The musical extravaganza was attended by a large number of students, faculty and members of civil society. The musical evening also attended by music lovers appreciated the efforts of the Academy and Jammu University in this endeavour.Speaking on the occasion, Secretary JKAACL, Munir-ul-Islam said that it is the endeavour of the Academy to attact the young talent towards the local art. He impressed that the young generation should be given a chance to perform at the cultural events.He also said that such events would continue to be organised by the Academy in the future as well. He further added that it will be a very good development if the students apart from studying also take part in such events and impressed upon the need to utilise the latest media so that music reaches to a wider audience.
