Himachal Pradesh was given prize for best performance in T.B. Control Programme throughout the country in a National level function organised by Government of India at New Delhi today. State T.B. Control Officer Dr. R.K. Baria received this prize from Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan. State advisor Himachal Pradesh of WHO Dr. Ravinder Kumar and District T.B. Control Officer Kangra Dr. R.K. Sood were also present on the occasion.A Spokesman of Health Department told here today that Himachal Pradesh was making sincere efforts for T.B. Control in the State since last year so that this disease could be eradicated by the end of year 2021. He said that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur dedicated Chief Minister T.B. eradication scheme last year in this direction. He said that under the scheme T.B. Free Himachal Campaign was launched in January this year. He said that in order to provide information to the general masses about T.B. disease Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar launched T.B. Free Himachal App.He said that other departments like Ayurveda, Panchayati Raj, Medical Education and district administration were providing all cooperation to eradicate T.B. from the state. He said that Centre Government has fixed nine parameters for ranking of States in T.B. Control performance. He said that performance of Himachal Pradesh was best in all these parameters.
