The Punjab Kala Parishad today organized an exhibition based on handicrafts titled 'Guddiyan Patole'. The products were the creation of Dr. Davinder Kaur Dhatt. The exhibition saw inauguration by the Chairman of the Punjab Kala Parishad Dr. Surjit Patar. The Secretary General of the Punjab Kala Parishad Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Johal read the welcome address.Dr. Patar on the occasion said that this folk tradition was once an inseparable part of our rural culture at one point of time and it is high time that we keep this art form, a reminiscent of our golden era gone by, alive. Congratulating Dr. Dhatt on making herculean efforts to keep floating this fast diminishing folk art form, Dr. Patar expressed strong hope that Dr. Dhatt would continue her efforts in future also. The Convenor of the program and stage compeer Dr. Nirmal Jaura explained in detail about the hand made products of Dr. Dhatt. Various articles in the exhibition associated with the rural culture especially Dolls decorated tastefully with Fulkaris, Colourful Apparels and flowers totally mesmerized the people who attended it. The Punjab Kala Parishad honoured Dr. Dhatt with a fulkari and a bouquet. Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included Mr. Jasmer Singh Dhatt, Mr. Deepak Sharma Chanarthal, Mr. Satnam Chana and Mr. L. R. Nayyar.
