The Students wing of Shiromani Akali Dal, Students Organisation of India (SOI) has added another feather to its cap as the organisation has been invited to participate in various interactive sessions to be held in UK as part of exchange of ideas between student leaders of India and England.Disclosing this, SOI Chairman Mr. Parambans Singh Bunty Romana said that he has nominated the Panjab University Campus Students Council (PUCSC)President Jasmeen Kang to represent the country at interactive sessions onuniversity students politics in England. He added that Jasmeen Kang would be a part of the 12 member delegation from India out of which 9 are from student wings of various national political parties. Mr. Romana further said that this one of its kind interactive visit would last from 29th December to 4th December.

Calling it an exceptional honour for regional students party- the SOI, Mr. Romana informed that during the visit various sessions would be held focussing on interesting themes such as -- politics, parliament and education in universities. Mr. Bunty Romana divulged that student leaders from both the countries would not only get a chance to understand the complexities of political dispensation of both countries but also the unique features of each other’s cultural heritage also.Mr. Romana added that discussions to be held on political matters assume great significance as Indian constitution’s one of the many important features, the parliamentary form of Government is inherited from the British constitution. He also informed that interactions would also centre on understanding the educational systems of both the countries stressing upon the complexities and unique features besides the innovations that both countries’ educational systems can absorb from each other.
