The Committee on Government Assurances of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Wednesday held its meeting here under the Chairmanship of MLC, Dr Shehnaz Ganai and discussed Government Assurances given by Ministers on the floor of the House from time to time and the extent to which such assurances have been implemented.Legislators, Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar, Mr. Gh. Nabi Monga and Mr. Khursheed Alam attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestion to make the Committee more vibrant and result oriented.The Committee asked the Council Staff to make all efforts to reconstruct the destroyed record due to floods as soon as possible.Meanwhile, The Committee was not satisfied with the replies sent by some departments and took serious note of the matter and instructed the Additional Secretary, Legislative council to call the Commissioner Secretaries of concerned departments in its next meeting.Among others, senior officers of Assembly Secretariat were also present in the meeting.
