In protest against the Congress’ attempt to gherao the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its unethical and undemocratic act, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandigarh Pradesh held a strong protest and gheraoed the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35. BJP workers marched from the party’s state office, Kamalam, in Sector 33 towards the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 to express their strong resentment.

The protest was held under the leadership of BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra.BJP leaders said that the result of NEET-UG 2026, declared on July 16, 2026, witnessed remarkable success by students from across the country. In this examination, children of vegetable vendors and families belonging to the working class also achieved success, proving that talent and hard work in India are not dependent on any social or economic background.

This is an inspiration for millions of students who, despite limited financial resources, are achieving success through their hard work and talent. On one hand, children from poor and hardworking families are fulfilling their dreams of becoming doctors through their talent, while on the other hand, Congress and leaders like Rahul Gandhi are attempting to turn the future and hard work of students into a political issue and spread confusion and negativity in the country.

BJP leaders said that the hard work and bright future of the country’s students should not be made a tool for any political interest.BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra, former Pradesh President and Himachal Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Tandon, Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi, Pradesh General Secretary Ramveer Bhatti, Convenor of Morchas and Cells Shakti Prakash Devshali, Pradesh Vice President Naresh Panchal, Pradesh Media In-charge Ravi Rawat, former Mayors Ravikant Sharma and Rajesh Kalia, Pradesh Yuva Morcha President Abhay Jha, Pradesh Mahila Morcha President Sonam Verma, along with Pradesh office-bearers, District Presidents, Mandal Presidents, office-bearers of various Morchas and Cells, party workers and a large number of members of the general public were present.

During the protest, workers raised strong slogans against the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, expressing their full support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and condemning the Congress’ politics as contrary to democratic values.Addressing the gathering, Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra said that Congress and Rahul Gandhi are frustrated by the growing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the continuous development taking place across the country.

He said that Rahul Gandhi and Congress are continuously trying to mislead the public through lies, confusion and misleading propaganda, but the aware citizens of the country have now completely understood their politics. He said that the attempt to gherao the Prime Minister’s residence reflects the frustration, negative mindset and anti-democratic mentality of the Congress.

The people of the country have repeatedly placed their faith and support in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which Congress and Rahul Gandhi cannot weaken through any conspiracy, false narrative or protest. He said that BJP is prepared to face every political challenge democratically and that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing towards new heights of development.

Former Pradesh President and Himachal Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Tandon said that Congress and Rahul Gandhi have repeatedly attempted to weaken the country’s democratic institutions and constitutional values. He said that the politics being pursued by Congress against Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not acceptable to the people of the country.

Rahul Gandhi, he said, repeatedly resorts to false allegations, misleading statements and negative propaganda to mislead the public, but the people have now recognised the reality of his politics. He said that everyone has the democratic right to protest, but politics of anarchy, unethical activities and misleading the public in the name of protest cannot be accepted at any cost.

Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country and Chandigarh are continuously progressing on the path of development. He said that Congress and Rahul Gandhi have no positive issue to present before the people and therefore they are relying only on protest, falsehood and negative politics.

He said that Rahul Gandhi’s politics has now become limited to spreading confusion and misleading the public, while BJP workers will strongly oppose every such political conspiracy of Congress through democratic means.Pradesh General Secretary Ramveer Bhatti said that the politics of Congress and Rahul Gandhi has become completely directionless.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s global stature has strengthened and the country is rapidly moving towards self-reliance. He said that Rahul Gandhi and Congress should respect the mandate of the people and uphold democratic values instead of attempting to mislead people through false propaganda and misleading statements.

Convenor of Morchas and Cells Shakti Prakash Devshali said that every BJP worker stands firmly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that BJP workers will democratically oppose the unethical acts of Congress and Rahul Gandhi at every level and expose the negative, misleading and anti-people politics of Congress and Rahul Gandhi before the public.A large number of Pradesh office-bearers, District Presidents, Mandal Presidents, office-bearers of various Morchas and Cells and BJP workers were present on the occasion.
