Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today demanded the resignation of the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains over repeated paper leaks in the state. He said, like the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan are responsible at the national level and the country seeks answers and accountability from them, so are Mann and Bains accountable for Punjab leaks and they must resign.
The PCC president referred to senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia once claiming that if a paper leak happened in Punjab, the responsible leader would be forced to resign. “It has been 6 months since the Punjab Group-B paper leak. Before that, the Class 12 English, PSTET, and Pharmacist Recruitment Exam papers were also leaked”, he pointed out saying four major paper leak scandals under the Bhagwant Mann government have taken place and yet there has been been no investigation and no accountability, leave aside any action.
“Tell us, when will Bhagwant Mann resign?”, he asked, adding, Punjab’s youth deserve accountability, not excuses. He said like students are protesting in Delhi, In Punjab, the pharmacy paper was leaked and people protested there too and they were beaten, assaulted, and chased away by the police.
Bhagwant Mann owes an answer how the pharmacy paper was leaked and what action was taken, he observed while saying both the central and the state governments have failed to handle the problem of paper leaks and do justice with the affected students.
