The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously working to make horticulture a profitable occupation and enhance the income of farmers. In line with this objective, Cabinet Minister Mr. Mohinder Bhagat chaired a review meeting with senior officers of the Horticulture Department to assess the progress of various departmental projects.

During the meeting, Additional Secretary Mr. Latif Ahmed and Director Mr. Manish Kumar briefed the Cabinet Minister in detail on the departmental administrative affairs, budget, farmer-centric subsidy schemes, progress of ongoing development works, and other important issues.

The Cabinet Minister directed the officers to ensure that the benefits of various horticulture schemes being implemented by the State Government reach all eligible farmers in a transparent and timely manner.He also instructed the officers to establish direct contact with farmers at the field level so that they become aware of the government schemes and more eligible farmers can avail themselves of these benefits.
