Under the Punjab Government's initiative to provide free school bags to students studying in Government schools, MLA from Amritsar South Assembly Constituency, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, today distributed school bags sent by the Punjab Government to students at Government Senior Secondary School, Kot Baba Deep Singh (Boys).

Addressing the students and teachers on the occasion, Dr. Nijjar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is undertaking historic reforms in the education sector. He said that Government schools are being equipped with modern infrastructure, quality education and all essential facilities, the positive outcomes of which are now clearly visible.

He said that the initiative of providing free school bags aims not only to encourage students to pursue their education with greater enthusiasm but also to reduce the financial burden on their parents. He added that these school bags would prove useful to students in their day-to-day academic activities.

Dr. Nijjar further said that owing to the comprehensive reforms introduced in the education sector, Punjab has emerged as one of the leading states in the country. He reiterated that the Government's objective is to ensure quality education and equal opportunities for every child, enabling them to realise their dreams and achieve success in life.

Motivating the students, he urged them to pursue their studies with dedication, hard work and discipline so that they could achieve great heights and bring pride to their parents, teachers and the state of Punjab. He emphasized that education is the strongest foundation for a successful, prosperous and bright future.

Among those present on the occasion were School Principal Ms. Monica, Aam Aadmi Party Youth Wing In-charge Sandeep Singh, Education Wing Amritsar In-charge Jaskarandeep Singh, Ward No. 42 In-charge Sher-e-Punjab Singh, OSD to MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Manpreet Singh, and the entire school staff.
