On the eve of World Red Cross Day, members and officials of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society and the Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section adorned Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, President of the Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society, and Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, Chairperson of the Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section, with the iconic Red Cross flags, symbolizing the values of compassion and humanitarian service.

Addressing a gathering, the Governor stated that this year's theme, "Keeping Humanity Alive", is a reminder of our moral obligation to help those in distress with empathy and sensitivity. He praised the Red Cross organization for its commendable service to suffering humanity across the globe. 

He added that the Himachal Pradesh Red Cross Society would continue to work with dedication and a spirit of service for the welfare of humanity and would remain an inspiration for society. C.P. Verma, Secretary to Governor and General Secretary to the State Red Cross Society, Members of H.P. Red Cross Society and Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section and officers of Raj Bhavan were present among others on the occasion.
