Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab, Mahila Morcha today organised their first state executive meeting in Amritsar today since Jai Inder Kaur took over as the state President. The meeting was presided over by National President Vanathi Srinivasan, State President Jai Inder Kaur and state prabhari Updesh Andotra.
Addressing the team of State Executive Members of Punjab Mahila Morcha Vanathi Srinivasan said, "I am grateful to the people of Punjab for their warm love and affection that they have showered upon me on since my arrival in Punjab. Visiting Sri Darbar Sahib and the historic Jallianwala Bagh have been a surreal experience for me and I will cherish these memories always."
Talking about Modi Govt's policies she said, "The 9 years of the central government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi have become a shining example of good governance, development and prosperity in the country. The pro people policies of Modi Government have won the hearts of every countrymen which has been reiterated now by the thumping victory of the BJP in 3 assembly elections."
She further said, "Construction of Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, Punishment to perpetrators of 1984 Riots, FCRA to Sri Harmandir Sahib, Bringing the saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji from Afghanistan to India with full respect and honor have been some of the steps taken by the Modi government for the betterment of Sikhs and Punjabi community.
Now it's the duty of each and every worker of Mahila Morcha to take these and all the other works of Modi government to the common public of Punjab." Addressing the meeting Jai Inder Kaur said, "First of all it's my pleasure to welcome our National President Smt. Vanathi Srinivasan ji on her maiden visit to Sri Amritsar Sahib.
It has been an enlightening experience for us all to get the guidance of Vanathi ji and I assure her that the Punjab Mahila Morcha will work hard for the betterment of the party in the state." Talking about Modi Govt's pro women policies Jai Inder Kaur said, "The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam (Women's Reservation Bill) was a historic move of the central government for the empowerment of women and ensuring inclusive governance at the highest level.
The status of women under the leadership of Modi ji and JP Nadda is getting stronger than ever, Mahila Morcha has started many programs like Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao, under the leadership of them and Mrs. Vanathi Srinivasan ji."
