Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan today kick-started work on Link road from Salbala to Degree College Gool taken up under Area Development Fund of DDC. The construction work on the 1 Km stretch will be completed with an allotted cost of Rs. 6 lakhs.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairperson said that with the completion of the project, a long pending demand of the area will be   fulfilled which will go a long way in easing the life of locals. The Chairperson directed the officers of concerned executive departments to ensure quality and timely completion of construction work which will benefit hundreds of souls of the area.

The PRIs and locals projected their demands relating to need based development of their respective areas.After listening to the problems and demands of the people, the DDC Chairperson directed the concerned officers to attend to the issues of public interest on priority basis. 

She also stressed upon the officers to work with dedication and sincerity and redress genuine grievances of the people pertaining to their respective departments. Among others, PRIs, Engineers and locals were present on the occasion.
