To recognize the great contribution of Teachers in nation building and pay homage to former President of India, Dr.  Sarvapalli Radha Krishnan, the Education Department, in collaboration with the District Administration Ramban organized a series of attractive programmes in educational institutions of the district.

A colorful programme was held at District Administrative complex Ramban where Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam along with senior officers and other participants  paid tributes to one of history's greatest educators, Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan, a fervent advocate of education and the second President of India.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner underlined the need of conscious, consistent and catalytic role of teachers in realization of goals of quality enhancement and sustenance of the students to achieve excellence in all aspects.

Expressing his ideas, the DC stated that teachers must be professionally competent to engage students and inspire them to become self-motivated learners with the capacity to adapt to new jobs and skills in a rapidly changing global environment.

Earlier, Chief Education Officer, Ramban Devanand informed that Teachers’ day has been celebrated with enthusiasm in all the educational institutions of Ramban district.Besides praising the contributions of teachers in the development of the country, the CEO advised them to keep away from politics to maintain the sanctity of this noble profession. 

The students presented scintillating cultural programmes and also presented their views on the occasion which were appreciated by the teachers and students who had come to participate in the function. Later, Deputy Commissioner Ramban also felicitated the teachers and other officers of the education department for their great contribution in the field of education.
