Chairperson District Development Council Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today distributed appropriate Aids and appliances to Children With Special Needs (CWSN) here at a function organized in Government Higher Secondary School Gool by the Directorate of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA, J&K, in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO).
BDC Chairperson Gool, Shkeela Begum; DDC Member Gool, Sakhi Mohd; Principal GHSS, Farooq Ahmed; ZEO, Mohd Shafi, students and staff of GHSS Gool were also present.Beneficiaries along with their parents attended the camp where aids and appliances were provided to them.
The experts from Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) Kusam Devi and Gulshan Kumar gave demonstrations regarding use of the appliances.After distributing Aids and Appliances among needy children, the DDC Chairperson appreciated the School Education Department and ALIMCO.
She emphasized that the aids will tremendously help the students to cope with their daily life and go a long way to help them to achieve life goals. She also impressed that such camps should be organized more often in all blocks and zones.
During the camp 40 needy children were provided with aids and appliances including Wheelchairs, CP Chairs, Rotators, Smart Cane, Hearing aids, Crutches and MSID kits.
