Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj today hosted Special Gram Sabha meetings across all panchayats of district Kishtwar to finalize and approve the Gram Panchayat Development plan 2023-24 in presence of PRIs, locals and field functionaries.
The meetings were held under the close supervision of Prabhari officers (Visiting officers) and were attended by field functionaries of various departments, PRIs and locals and the Senior & ther officers of District Administration.
The enthusiastic participation of the attendees ensured that the approved GPDP 2023-24 reflects the needs and aspirations of the community to pave the way for the achievement and localisation of Sustainable Development goals.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Sham Lal along with ACD, Sunil Bhutyal and other concerned participated in Gram Shaba at Panchayat Poochal B2 of Block Kishtwar and Gram Panchayat Kwar of block Nagseni.
Additional Development Commissioner, Inderjeet Singh Parihar participated in the Special Gram Sabha meeting in panchayat Trigam A of block Trigam, while Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Varunjeet Singh Charak attended special Gram Sabha meetings at Panchayat Lachdayaram - A & Lachdayaram-B, of Block Kishtwar.
Several other officers visited and monitored the Gram Sabha proceedings at different Panchayats.During the meetings, the convergence plan was also discussed, and the approved Gram Panchayat Development plan was uploaded on the revamped eGramSwaraj Portal.This move signifies a step towards digitisation and ease of access for the community.
