A week long awareness campaign on the theme ”Let’s save the water together” was today organized by Jal Shakti Department Udhampur in collaboration with Jay Kay Women’s Welfare Society, Jammu under District Jal Jeevan Mission.Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar flagged off the awareness van here from DC Office Complex.It was informed that the awareness van will spread the message regarding water conservation and preservation.The ADDC informed that the awareness will cover different Sub- Divisions as well as Blocks of District Udhampur. He added that different activities shall be carried out in the district with the involvement of PRIs to spread awareness regarding rain water harvesting to enhance the water table and improve water quality. He further said that the awareness campaign will culminate on the eve of World water day on 22nd of March 2021.Among others present were SE Jal Shakti Hydraulic Circle Udhampur, P P Arora; AEE, Sandeep Gupta; Executive Director, Jay Kay Women Welfare Society, Jammu Tilak Raj Sharma and other officials of concerned department were present on the occasion.
