ADDC reviews progress of Agriculture & allied sectors at Udhampur

Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ashok Kumar, today reviewed the physical progress made under various Agriculture and allied sector centrally sponsored schemes in the District.A detailed review was held with regard to  Jeevika project, developing forward linkage of Agriculture and allied sectors, Modalities with regard to utilization of the Jeevika  Bhawan, Status of different schemes under execution, physical and financial achievements of different departments. While reviewing the sector wise performance of Agriculture and allied sectors, the ADDC asked the concerned officers of agriculture and allied departments to create awareness among the masses about the different income generating schemes by organizing camps in rural areas. He laid stress on enhancing the production of mushroom, honey, saffron, by encouraging the farming community about the cultivation of these crops. He asked the officers of concerned departments for preparation of department wise action plan for utilization of Jeevika Bhawan NRLM was asked to organize training programme for self help group members in coordination with other departments.The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan; PO, IWMP, Sapna Kotwal; Chief Agriculture Officer, Subash Sharma; Chief Horticulture Officer, Salil Gupta; DIO NIC, Anil Sharma; District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Dr Sanjeev Kumar; Assistant Soil Conservation Officer, Vikas Padha; Chief Agriculture Officer and other officers of various departments.
