Governor Bandaru Dattatraya said thatArya Samaj played an important role and has been one of the main contributors in the freedom movement in the country and has also been inspiring the people from the rule of Nizam in post independence.With the inspiration of Arya Samaj, many patriots carried forward the freedom movement.The Governor was speaking as the Chief Guest in the Inaugural session of Hyderabad Liberation Day Celebration, felicitation of Freedom Fighters & Prominent Arya Samajis by Arya Samaj at Vaidik Ashram Kanya Gurukul, Umanagar, Kundan bagh, Begumpet in Telangana, today.The governor said that he has been associated with Arya Samaj and was influenced by the ideology of Arya Samaj. He said that since 1925, only the Arya Samaj movement had been in effect in Hyderabad and after independence, the freedom movement against the Nizam was also led by the people associated with the Arya Samaj. "Who can forget the sacrifice of great people like Shri Narayan Rao Pawar against the Nizam. Arya Samaj contributed significantly to the liberation from the Nizam.
Almost all the freedom fighters were influenced by Arya Samaj and influenced by the ideas of Arya Samaj and joined the freedom movement", said Dattatraya.The Governor said that even today, there was a need to expand the values and ideas of the Arya Samaj so that future generations could be familiar with their high traditions and values and make their important contribution to the nation. Kishan Reddy, Union Home Minister of State welcomed the Governor and also spoke on the contribution of Arya Smaj in the freedom movement of Hyderabad. G.Vivek, former MP also spoke on the occasion. Lakshman Singh, President, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Hyderabad Telngana welcomed the Governor and briefed about the programme and activities of the Sabha. He also honoured the Governor on the occasion. Later, the Governor also Participated as a Chief Guest in Telangana Udhyamakarula Aatmeeya Sammelanam at Pingali Venkatram Reddy Hall, opposite Indira Park in Telangana.
