Universal group of Institutions organized seminar on start Up India and stand Up India to motivate students to become businessman instead of job seeker. Harvinder Mavi, seasoned Entrepreneur, Founder SouvNear.com, Director & Co Founder Agilyst Inc, and Rajneesh Vij , CEO HRD Baddi, were keynote speaker at the moment .They explained various Govt. schemes to promote entrepreneurship. They informed that under Credit Guarantee Scheme Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises is providing the collateral free loans for startups. They further explained the initiatives taken under the startup campaign and said that it provides for an 80 per cent waiver on patent filing fees for start-ups, as well as advisory services . While encouraging the students Dr. Gurpreet Singh chairman, also shared his personal experience with the students. He said that he started his journey with some money with the vision that one day he will make one of the best professional colleges of India and today UGI is a renowned name in India and journey is continuing. According to him Punjab is a land of Entrepreneurs and youth should come up with new ideas. He added that business lies in solving the problems of people. Each problem is a business opportunity.
