Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh said that the participation of eminent persons, experts, and various sections of society plays a vital role in building a developed India, as their suggestions and experiences provide new direction and momentum to national development. He was addressing a gathering at Prabudhjan Sammelan held at Bliss Premier Garden, Sector-17, Gurugram, marking the completion of 12 years of the Central Government on Friday.
The Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the government has established a transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance system over the past 12 years. He added that the government’s objective is not merely to design schemes but to ensure that their benefits reach the last mile.
During the interaction, detailed discussions were held with eminent citizens from industry, education, sports, and social sectors on various welfare schemes, development initiatives, and future possibilities. He also invited suggestions to further improve development outcomes across sectors.
Participants appreciated the government’s efforts in expanding infrastructure, driving digital transformation, reforming the tax system, and simplifying the GST regime. They also shared suggestions to strengthen education, healthcare, industry, skill development, and civic services.
Rao Inderjit Singh said that the vision of a developed India can only be achieved through joint efforts of the government and society. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with public cooperation, India will emerge as one of the leading global powers in the coming years.
Plantation under “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign
As part of the environmental initiative, the Union Minister planted saplings at Maharana Pratap Swarna Jayanti Park (Laser Valley) in Gurugram under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. He urged citizens to plant more trees and take responsibility for their upkeep, highlighting environmental conservation as a necessity of the times.
Later, the Minister inspected a free health check-up and blood donation camp organized by the Health and AYUSH Departments at the Community Centre, Sector-14, Gurugram. He reviewed healthcare services and interacted with citizens undergoing health check-ups as well as voluntary blood donors, appreciating their contribution.
Calling blood donation a noble act, he said that regular health check-ups help in early detection of serious diseases, enabling timely treatment. He urged youth to actively participate in voluntary blood donation for social welfare.
He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the Central Government is working to make healthcare accessible to the last person. Schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Jan Aushadhi Kendras, expansion of AYUSH services, and strengthening of health infrastructure have benefited millions of citizens.
He added that such camps help raise awareness and encourage people to remain proactive about their health.
