Universal Group of Institutions awarded for Educational Excellence by The Indus Foundation at New Delhi. The awards are in recognition of educational excellence in specific fields of academe. Institutions catering to higher education were considered for this purpose.The awards were based on criteria that include infrastructure, faculty, placements, annual growth, students & alumni feedback, feedback from the industry etc.The award was given for infrastructure, placement, innovative educational activities practiced at UGI .It was attended by renowned delegates from the educational arena. The event was graced by presence of International Speakers.Principal UIET Swati Sharma received the award.While expressing his ecstasy Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Chairman, UGI said that it is the persistent hard work of the institution as a whole which is being recognized & Educational Excellence Award is conferred. Students and faculty of UGI due to its research activities resulted in large number of international and national publications, patents, development of new technologies, development of new methods of analysis and testing etc. According to him this recognition will work as narrow the bridge between industry and academia.
