Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp organised for the students of Universal Group of Institutions. The Guest speakers at the moment were Amardev Singh, Assistant Professor, EDIC Dept NITTR Chandigarh and Dr. Deepika Jhamb, Associate Professor, Chitkara University.This 2 days camp covered the topics like Entrepreneurship as a career choice, Risks and rewards of entrepreneur ,Charms, rewards and competencies of entrepreneurship , Ideas involved in entrepreneurship management and converting ideas into opportunities, Small business management / govt. support for entrepreneurs ,Skills and behaviour required to be a successful entrepreneur.
While speaking at the moment Dr. Gurpreet Singh chairman, Universal Group of Institutions encouraged students to start own small business.He later, focussed on how to start a new business. Commencing with need assessment, preliminary research, and business plan, identifying the recourses, legal framework, financing, marketing and setting future goals etc. He also discussed challenges like mistakes that young and new entrepreneurs often make Action plan, presentation of Action plan and evaluation. He later, urged the candidates to compete and make proper use of their skills to grab these opportunities.
