The idea is to attract more people to plant saplings Universal Group of Institutions, Lalru organised 'Selfie-with-tree ‘campaign .While encouraging the students  for the social cause . Chairman, UGI, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Informed that  all the necessary instructions are already given to students .Every student pledge to plant minimum one tree That’s the reason  huge response is expected  students  will  either  send  email containing the photos of their sapling drive and other necessary details or will tag  institute on Facebook . The Institute aims to plant minimum one thousand saplings to increase green cover.According to him this idea will surly help to increase awareness about the plantation drive and get more students and even residents involved .Planting trees will foster love towards nature, with the help of social media .Students were also informed that trees are literally the source of life on this earth. They help preserve environment by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide and are also responsible for keeping the air fresh and clean.
