The authorities have disbursed Rs 324.10 crore in 29435 cases of flood damaged houses under the Prime Minister’s Development Plan (PMDP) till March 2016, reveals official data.“This financial assistance has been in addition to the aid already provided to the flood victims under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF),” an official told KNS. Hundreds of flood victims are yet to receive rehabilitation assistance from PMNRF and PMDP.Official data reveals that disbursement has been done to the tune of Rs.1.43 crore to 536 cases in Ramban district; Rs.2.36 crore to 814 cases in Doda; Rs. 7.28 crore to 1251 cases in Shopian; Rs.19.09 core to 3275 cases in Kulgam; Rs.195.29 crore to 10470 cases in Srinagar; Rs. 0.8 crore to 406 cases in Ganderbal; Rs. 21.67 to 881 cases in Budgam; Rs.48.94 crore to 9474 cases in Anantnag (Islamabad);Rs 9.63 crore to 1079 cases in Bandipora; and Rs.17.61 crore to 1249 cases in Baramulla.State Government has released an additional grant of Rs. 279 crore for disbursement under PMDP to the Deputy Commissioners.
This additional grant was given as to Srinagar district Rs. 234 crore; BudgamRs.39 crore, and Udhampur Rs 6 crore.“Till March 16, this year, cumulative funds to the tune of Rs. 967.13 crore have been released. This cumulative funds include Srinagar Rs. 468.16 crore; Samba Rs.2.35 crore; GanderbalRs.0.81 crore; Budgam Rs. 78.12 crore; Pulwama Rs.55.87 crore; Anantnag (Islamabad) Rs. 96.94 crore; BandiporaRs.33.66 crore; Baramulla Rs.35.11 crore; Rajouri Rs. 44.63 crore; Udhampur Rs. 12.97 crore; RambanRs.7.53 crore; Kishtwar Rs. 2.38; DodaRs.3.03 crore; Shopian Rs. 7.27 crore; Kupwara Rs.0.20 crore; and KulgamRs.19.08 crore; Jammu Rs. 47.13 crore; Reasi Rs. 26.65 crore; Kathua Rs. 4.3 crore; and Poonch Rs. 20.79 crore.“There are cases where flood victims are yet to receive rehabilitation amounts from PMNRF and PMDP. We are on it and will disburse the amount to them shortly,” said a senior official of divisional administration. (KNS)
