Punjab Irrigation Minister Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon today asserted that the sole agenda of SAD-BJP alliance was to work round the clock for public and the state instead of building castles in the air as the opposition and new comers were manipulating. He termed the opposition leaders and those who were building castles in the air as liars and political opportunists. While addressing the gathering here after laying foundation stone of widening of road at Machian Kala, Mr. Dhillon said that Development could not be witnessed by sitting in air conditioned rooms on the contrary it is achieved by visiting general masses, hearing their grievances vis-à-vis redressing them just there and then. He said that opposition and those who had faced utter failure in National Capital have become Pygmies before the unprecedented development made by ruling alliance in Punjab. He said that they were lacking in tapping the pulse of common masses while on the other hand Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Paraksh Singh works for 18 hours at a stretch at his ripe age.

Describing the politicians trying to grab the reins of power in Punjab as boasters, Mr. Dhillon said that some outsiders were in the fray to disrupt the century old amity, brotherhood and peace of Punjab but the people of Delhi were making hue and cry over the betrayal made by Aam Aadmi Party. He said that under the able leadership of Punjab CM the state is going to witness operations of new development projects in coming days and the days were not far when Punjab will become a No. 1 state in the country in all fields.Mr. Dhillon urged the people of Punjab to distinguish between constructive and destructive politicians so that state could witness new apex of development, success and growth in time to come.

Briefing about the development initiatives in the area, Mr. Dhillon said that the construction of Mattewara overbridge will commence in the month of September. He said that Mattewara-Rattangarh road to Machian Khurd Kalan via Sekhowal and Satluj Bandh a total 3 kilometer long stretch is being widened and strengthened. He said that this project will be accomplished at a cost of Rs. 1 crore in next four month. He said that with the completion of this project the long pending demand of the villagers of this area would be fulfilled.Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Meharbaan, S. Bhag Singh Maangarh, Ranjit Singh Mangli, Sehajpreet Singh Mangat etc.
