The matches on the sixth day of Dr B R Ambedkar 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016 were held today at Sant Baba Prem Singh Karamsar Khalsa College, Begowal in Kapurthala district today. This is the first time that Begowal town hosted the World Cup Kabaddi matches and the matches were held in a jam packed stadium.The women team of USA scored their second victory of the World Cup Kabaddi 2016. In their match, the USA eves defeated Tanzania with a big margin of 58-18 and entered the semi finals of this mega sporting tournament. In a men section matches of Pool B, Iran scored their fourth consecutive victory of the World Cup by defeating Kenya by 64-35, while USA and Australia defeated Argentina by 65-36 and Tanzania by 53-32 respectively.For today’s matches Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal was the chief guest while Irrigation Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon inaugurated the matches during the day. Bholath MLA Bibi Jagir Kaur presided over the function. Punjabi singer Gulzar Lahoria enthralled the audience with his performance.

MATCH 1: MEN SECTION: USA DEFEAT ARGENTINA BY 65-36:

In first match of the day, USA men team defeated Argentina by 65-36. For USA, raiders Harkirat Singh scored 10 while Parminder Singh and Jatinder Pal scored 9 points each while stoppers Harjinder Singh secured 5 and Navi Johal secured 4 points for his team. For Argentina, raider Bruno scored 12 while Alexandra scored 9 points.

MATCH 2: MEN SECTION: IRAN DEFEAT KENYA BY 64-35:

In second match, Iran scored their fourth consecutive win by defeating Kenya by 64-35. For Iran, raiders, Behman scored 13, Hussain 10 and Payeman 7 points and stopper Safari secured 5 and Nasar secured 4 points. For Kenya, raiders Bandera scored 13 and Malaba scored 7 points and stopper Mark secured 2 points. 

MATCH 3: WOMEN SECTION: USA DEFEAT TANZANIA BY 58-18:

In third match of the day, USA eves defeated Tanzania by 58-18. With this victory, the USA women team secured their place in the semi  finals of Dr BR Ambedkar 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016. For USA, raiders Guramrit Kaur Khalsa scored 8 and Alen scored 7 points, while stoppers Fobo secured 10 and Caddis secured 8 points. For Tanzania, raider Hanis scored 6 points and stopper Salima secured 4 points.

MATCH 4: MEN SECTION: AUSTRALIA DEFEAT TANZANIA BY 53-32:

In last match of the day, Australia defeated Tanzania by 53-32. For Australia, it is their second victory out of their three matches and for Tanzania, it was their third consecutive loss. For Australia, raiders Raj Kumar scored 10 and stopper Sukhdeep Singh and Jasvir Singh secured 7 points each. For Tanzania, raider Benjamin scored 9 points, while stopper Moosa secured 6 points for their team.
