Jagtar Singh, Booth Level Officer (BLO) for Booth No. 108 in the Kharar Assembly Constituency and a teacher at Government Elementary School, Lubangarh, was felicitated today at a special function held at the District Administrative Complex for successfully completing 100 per cent of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 exercise within the stipulated timeframe.

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ms. Komal Mittal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Ms. Geetika Singh, and SDM-cum-Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Kharar, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, presented Mr. Jagtar Singh with a Certificate of Appreciation issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, in recognition of his exemplary performance.

Congratulating Mr. Jagtar Singh, his Supervisor Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Agriculture Development Officer, and SDM-cum-ERO, Kharar, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, on this achievement, the Deputy Commissioner said that the dedication, commitment and sense of responsibility demonstrated during the SIR-2026 exercise would significantly strengthen the electoral process. She urged all BLOs to emulate Mr. Jagtar Singh's exemplary work ethic and complete the revision exercise within the prescribed timeline with equal sincerity and commitment.

District Nodal Officer (SVEEP), Prof. Gurbakhshish Singh Antal, informed that Mr. Jagtar Singh has previously been honoured on three occasions for enrolling the highest number of new voters, reflecting his consistent dedication and outstanding performance. He further stated that an impressive voter turnout of 89.5 per cent was recorded at his polling station during the Lok Sabha Elections, for which he was also felicitated by the district administration.

He said that Mr. Jagtar Singh's latest accomplishment is a testament to his unwavering commitment, diligence and dedication to democratic values, and serves as a source of inspiration for all Booth Level Officers engaged in the SIR-2026 exercise. District Nodal Officer (SVEEP), Prof. Gurbakhshish Singh Antal, and Election Tehsildar Ms. Harpreet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
