In a major boost to rural healthcare infrastructure, the Haryana Government has granted administrative approval for the construction of a new 50-bed modern hospital at Barwala in Hisar district. The ambitious project is estimated to cost Rs. 6,566.52 lakh.
Sharing the details, Haryana Health Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said the state government is committed to strengthening healthcare facilities in rural areas by providing quality and modern medical services on par with urban centres. The proposed hospital at Barwala is a significant step in that direction.
The Health Minister said no additional land acquisition will be required for the project, as the new hospital will be constructed within the existing campus of the Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Barwala. She said the upcoming 50-bed facility will significantly enhance healthcare services in Barwala and adjoining rural areas.
Once operational, residents of Barwala and dozens of nearby villages will have access to advanced medical care closer to home, reducing the need to travel to larger cities for treatment. The project is expected to strengthen the region's public healthcare infrastructure, improve access to specialised medical services, and ensure timely treatment for thousands of patients in the area.
